Long-time Detroit sports bloggers and podcasters Greg Eno and Big Al Beaton are The Knee Jerks!
It's the summer of The Knee Jerks, so we're bringing back our favorite guests! This week features the return of former Detroit Pistons player and head coach Ray Scott. The former NBA Coach of the Year has been working on a book (which should drop next fall) and has plenty on his mind when it comes to his life and relationships, social causes, how he helped to lay the groundwork for empowering today's NBA players, the ongoing NBA playoffs and most amazingly, his grudging acceptance of the 3 point shot as a weapon!
In the second half of the show, we discuss the Dr. Richard Anderson sexual abuse scandal at the at the University of Michigan, the ugly fallout as more survivors come forward, the vile victim shaming by self-appointed defenders of Bo Schembechler's crumbling legacy and how the deifying of college coaches (most proven to be highly flawed, many of whom have done, condoned, or turned a blind eye to despicable actions) needs to stop.
We also discuss Christian Eriksen of Denmark dying on the pitch during Euro 2020, thankfully brought back by defibulation and the Detroit Tigers becoming more aggressive with their top prospects, much in thanks to a rash of injuries forcing their hand.
Greg calls out the national NFL media for their complete and utter misunderstanding of Detroit Lions' head coach Dan Campbell, while Al is dumbfounded by Sinclair's plan to start an RSN streaming service, charging cord cutters up to $23 to access their regional Bally Sports channel.
