Long-time Detroit sports bloggers and podcasters Greg Eno and Big Al Beaton are The Knee Jerks!
This week Eno and Big Al welcome back to the show journalist Dave Mesrey, who gives us his thoughts on the sudden closing of Hazel Park Raceway after 70 years of operation.
Dave's Metro Times pieces on the final Hazel Park track champion (and a fitting closure on the track) can be found here: First-year phenom Melissa Zajac bucking the odds in battle for jockeys title at Hazel Park
And here: Jockey Melissa Zajac makes
horse-racing history at Hazel Park
The second half of the show has the Jerks giving their
takes on the contract extension of Red Wings' GM Ken Holland, what
that means for the future status of head coach Jeff Blashill and
where the team's rebuild currently stands. The guys also cover the
Tigers' surprising start to the season, the train wreck that is MLB
scheduling and how it could be fixed, the beginning of the Matt
Patricia era with the Lions and GM Bob Quinn's moves in free
agency.
As always, the guys play The Birthday Game and name their Jerk of the Week!
