Detroit sports bloggers and podcasters Greg Eno and Big Al Beaton are The Knee Jerks!
Detroit and New York City radio and TV sports broadcasting ledgend Bob Page is a long-time friend of the show. Bob returns to The Knee Jerks Podcast to discuss the latest with the Detroit Red Wings and Detroit Tigers, including Steve Yzerman's head coaching search, the Tigers historically bad offense and who could end up as the scapegoat for what is shaping up to be an awful season.
Bob also tells more tales from his past, not holding back when it comes to some of the more beloved of the 1984 Tigers who were extremely vile and uncooperative in the locker room.

The second half of the show is all Detroit Tigers. And it's all bad.
The Tigers' offense has been historically awful. averaging under 3 runs a game. You have to go back 50 years, before the DH, back to the second dead ball era, to see offensive numbers comparable to the Tigers.
There will be a scapegoat for the team's struggles. It's just a question of how high up the organizational ladder the firing(s) will be.
In an era where starting pitching is being devalued, Tigers GM Al Avila based the team's rebuild around it.
There is a reason the term “There is no such thing as a pitching prospect” (TINSTAAPP) was coined. It’s meant to be a warning to teams not to overinvest in young pitchers due to their high attrition rates. The Tigers are learning their lesson the hard way.
Javy Baez has been a MASSIVE disappointment: The Tigers’ big ticket free agent was expected to solidify the middle of the batting order. Instead, all his worst habits (free swinging to an extreme, high K rate, low BB rate) have come to the fore.
Is it possible Baez is unfixable? Does El Mago even believe he needs fixing?
Could AJ Hinch and Chris Fetter decide to move on after the season, in order to not go down with a sinking ship?
The Tigers other prize off season signing, Eduardo Rodriguez, has been placed on the restricted list to due pressing personal issues. We wish him nothing but good luck.
The guys also play The Birthday Game and name a Jerk of the Week.
Be on the lookout for an interview with Red Wings radio play-by-play man Ken Kal this July, as we enter year 14 of The Knee Jerks Podcast!
