The Knee Jerks Podcast - Eno, Nick and Big Al

Dec 17, 2018

Long time Detroit podcasters and bloggers Greg Eno and Al Beaton are The Knee Jerks!

Along with playing the Birthday Game and naming our the Jerk of the Week, this week's topics include:

The Detroit Lions were officially eliminated from the postseason after dropping a 14-13 snoozefest to the lowly Bills. At 5-9, the team will finish under .500 for the first time since 2015.

Fire Jim Bob Cooter? Sure! But he doesn’t operate in a vacuum: For all the cries for Cooter (deservedly) getting the boot, why is he the only scapegoat? He's following Matt Patricia's run based, slow paced, clock eating, risk averse, QB handcuffing offensive orders

This season Matt Nagy raised a 5-11 Bears team to a 10-4 record and an NFC North title. Frank Reich has the Colts at 8-6 after a 4-12 2017. Mike Vrabel took over a 9-7 Titans team and has them in the hunt at 8-6 despite a bad season from QB Marcus Mariota. So what happened with the “underachieving at 9-7” Lions?

Free tip for the mainstream media - Don't tell fans how to be a fan. After 60 years of suck, fans have legit reasons for their anger.

The Detroit Tigers once made waves in free agency. At the recent winter meetings, they only made ripples with a pair of low ceiling, stopgap signings of journeymen Jordy Mercer and Tyson Ross.

The Tigers’ (now former) long-time battlin’ TV broadcast  duo finally broke their silence. Mario Impemba and Rod Allen released statements which said and answered nothing.
