The Knee Jerks Podcast - Eno, Nick and Big Al

Jun 1, 2022

Detroit sports bloggers and podcasters Greg Eno and Big Al Beaton are The Knee Jerks!

This week The Knee Jerks Podcast celebrates 13 years of Greg and Al ranting about Detroit sports by bringing back one of our oldest friends and one of our newest.

We open with a long-time friend of the show, former NBA/ABA player, front office exec, head coach and now published author, Ray Scott.

Coach's new memoir, written by Ray with Charley Rosen, is available for preorder on Amazon: "The NBA in Black and White: The Memoir of a Trailblazing NBA Player and Coach"

Coach tells us how the book came about, talks more about his playing career and how mounting injuries brought it to an end, gives us his thoughts on the upcoming NBA Finals and memorializes the late Bob Lanier, who played for Coach in the mid-70's. We also learn Coach isn't done writing. Another book already in the works!

The second half of the show, our own NBA Guru, Siddy Hall, joins us for more hoops discussion. Siddy makes a case for the NBA layoffs going to a World Cup style, round robin format, gives us his thoughts on the NBA Draft, the career of Bob Lanier, and breaks down the upcoming series between the Celtics and Warriors.

Be on the lookout for an interview with Red Wings radio play-by-play man Ken Kal this July, along with other surprises,in year 13 of The Knee Jerks Podcast!

Thanks go to all our listeners and guests, you have helped to make our little adventure in podcasting amazingly fun!
